Welcome back, Paladins!
In this post, we’ll cover the latest updates introduced in Empires & Puzzles Beta Version 79.2. This version delivers three major improvements that could significantly shift how you play the game—especially in Alliance Wars, hero building, and team composition.
Here’s what you can expect from Beta V79.2:
- A critical fix to Alliance War energy notifications
- Several hero skill revamps and Quality of Life (QoL) upgrades
- The arrival of nine brand-new heroes from four different families
Let’s explore each of these updates in detail.
⚔️ Alliance War Energy Notification Fix
One of the most impactful improvements in V79.2 is the fix to Alliance War energy notifications.
🧨 What Was the Problem?
During the Battle Phase, players are given war energy, and halfway through the battle, the game refills some of that energy. However, the previous notification system had a flaw:
- If a player used all of their energy early and didn’t log in after the refill…
- The game wouldn’t notify them that additional energy was available.
This occurred because the energy check only ran at the start of the Battle Phase, not after the mid-phase refill—resulting in many players missing out on their remaining attacks.
✅ What’s Changed in Beta V79.2?
The system now properly triggers notifications after the refill occurs, ensuring players are alerted about the extra energy. This small change ensures maximum war participation and eliminates missed attack opportunities due to lack of notification.
🧙 Hero Skill Revamps & QoL Improvements
The second section of Beta V79.2 includes skill adjustments and some noteworthy QoL improvements—particularly in hero leveling.
🎯 Tunes Skill Rework (Wild Cats Family)

Previously, the hero Tunes had the following special skill:
- All enemies were immune to new buffs for 3 turns.
- Each attempted buff dealt 200 damage.
In this version, the skill has been revamped:
- Tunes now safely dispels 1 buff from all enemies.
This change provides a more flexible and strategic approach, making Tunes a stronger pick against buff-heavy teams.
🛡️ New Passive: Empowered Resist – Special Blocking (Kalevala Family)

Heroes from the Kalevala family are receiving a brand-new passive ability called:
Empowered Resist: Special Blocking
With this passive:
- Every time a hero resists a negative status effect,
- They gain +450 boosted HP and +5% Mana.
This buff is especially effective in the current meta dominated by Silencer-type heroes, such as Song Jiang and Ceris. Although the passive isn’t retroactively applied to existing Kalevala heroes just yet, it’s highly likely it will be introduced to future heroes in that family.
📈 Smarter Level-Up System (QoL Upgrade)
A small but significant improvement comes to the hero leveling system:

- The auto-leveling feature is now smarter.
- It automatically selects the most efficient heroes for leveling.
- Once your special skill hits 100% chance to increase, it stops selecting further heroes—preventing waste.
This update ensures more precise leveling, saving time and resources, especially when building out your roster.
