The world of Empires & Puzzles continues to evolve, and with the release of Beta Version 79.2, we’ve been introduced to a fresh wave of powerful heroes — including a new Hero of the Month, and several members of the fierce Wild Cat family.
In this blog, we’ll explore the latest additions, focusing on their skills, roles, mana speed, and how they perform in actual combat across Campaign, Raid, and Titan modes. This is Part 1 of our testing — so be sure to stay tuned for Part 2, where we go deeper into advanced team setups and synergy builds.
Let’s get started!
🔮 Legends 2025 Hero: Eldwren (November 2025 Hero of the Month)

The first hero we’re spotlighting is Eldwren, the Legendary Hero of the Month for November 2025.
- Element: Dark
- Class: Druid
- Family: Legends 2025
- Mana Speed: Average
🌟 Hero Role Breakdown:
Eldwren brings a powerful blend of Sniper-style damage, Fiend summoning, enemy debuffing, and mana control to the battlefield. His overall kit makes him incredibly versatile — ideal for both offensive raids and defensive holds. He’s built for disruption and precision, offering solid value across multiple modes of play.
🐾 Wild Cat Family Heroes
Now, let’s dive into the Wild Cat family — a sleek, lethal group of Legendary heroes who specialize in speed, disruption, and damage over time.
🟢 Thaffer – The Tabby Safecracker

- Element: Nature
- Class: Druid
- Mana Speed: Average
Thaffer is a strategic powerhouse, known for his role as a Mana Stealer, Reaper, and Healing Debuffer. With average mana speed and a tactical skillset, he performs exceptionally well whether you’re attacking enemy defenses or anchoring your own team’s lineup. His ability to cripple healing and steal tempo makes him a dangerous wild card in any battle.
🔵 Vernix – The Snow Leopard Magus

- Element: Ice
- Class: Wizard
- Mana Speed: Fast
Vernix is a high-impact damage dealer with a focus on burst hits, damage-over-time (DoT), and enemy debuffs. Her fast mana speed allows her to hit early and often — pressuring the enemy team before they can fully set up. She’s a strong pick for both offensive and defensive strategies where speed and sustained damage matter.
⚫ Marnes – The Flank-Stabbing Panther

- Element: Dark
- Class: Rogue
- Mana Speed: Extremely Fast
Marnes might be one of the most dangerous heroes in this patch. His role centers around being a Reaper, DoT specialist, and Debuffer — but what truly sets him apart is his extremely fast mana generation. This makes him an ideal assassin, capable of dishing out consistent, quick-hitting damage and weakening enemies before they have time to react.
🎮 Hero Performance Testing: Campaign, Raids, and Titans
So how do these heroes perform in action?
To find out, I ran extensive tests across different game modes — Campaign, Raids, and Titan fights — to observe their strengths, synergy potential, and survivability.
The results? Each hero brings a distinct style to the table:
- Eldwren shows solid performance as a tactical controller, great for dealing with pesky enemy supports.
- Thaffer is incredibly annoying for heal-based defenses, thanks to his anti-healing and mana drain.
- Vernix is perfect for snowballing momentum in fast-paced matches.
- Marnes, with his blistering speed, can clean up the board before the opponent even gets going.
I’ve included gameplay footage that highlights each hero’s strengths and combat flow — be sure to watch closely and see which ones fit your style best.
✅ Final Thoughts – Part 1 Summary
That concludes Part 1 of our Beta V79.2 hero testing for Empires & Puzzles. The Wild Cat family is shaping up to be a powerful new force, while Eldwren stands out as a strong monthly addition with versatile control capabilities.
Each of these heroes has their own niche — and depending on how you build your teams, they can all shine in PvE and PvP environments.
But we’re not done yet…
